The manufacturer has not been identified but the hallmarks and construction are consistent with Italian sterling silver production. The clasp operates properly and the chain presents beautifully.

Size 18s pocket watch. Size: 18s (Large, classic open-face gentleman’s size). Production Year: 1887. Manufacturer: Elgin National Watch Co. (USA). There are no major structural cracks. The hinges are secure, and the lids open and close tightly as they should.

Hunter Case in great shape, little Wear. See Pictures. Porcelain Dial is pristine. In fact, the entire case and case back, show very little wear and this watch was well taken care of prior entering my collection.
Antique Sterling Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch Swiss Cylinder c. 1880s
The watch is in good working condition. The case is sterling silver with British hallmarks. The maker’s mark, or import mark, consists of the letters ‘LP’ in a shield cartouche. The movement is a Swiss cylinder movement also hallmarked ‘LP.’ I don’t think the key that comes with this watch is original to the piece.
