Manufacturer: Lord Elgin. Very uncommon and unusual two tone yellow and green 14k gold filled case. Watch is good condition for age. Case Material: 14K Gold Filled. Case (w/out Crown): 22.5 mm. This is a vintage 1940s Hamilton Wilshire watch in a 14k rose gold-filled case with a coral-colored dial. The watch features a distinctive rectangular case with unique hinged lugs designed to contour to the wrist for comfort. It has printed black Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position. The dial is described as “coral” or “salmon” colored, which was a rare option for this model. It is a manual-winding watch, often containing a 17 jewel 980 movement.

I am not an expert. I believe this is gold filled. Sold for parts. I see scratches on the glass. Dirt under the glass. Sold as is. It does not feel wound tight. I wound a little overnight, and the hands moved. I don’t know how well it keeps time or how long it will run. So, it is for parts. Purchase to refurbish.
