Chrome plated Caravelle pocket watch & chain featuring a 11DP movement (Citizen based), fully serviced, new mainspring, polished crystal. Timed to within a few seconds per day in vertical & flat positions, good running! Case back has initials AR scratched into chrome. As a hobbyist, all watches are serviced and timed to their best capability, doesn’t always mean they come out perfect. Parts are sourced if needed and available, otherwise are refurbished to their best. New gaskets/O-rings are applied where applicable, but does not guarantee any kind of water resistance, and are not tested for water resistance. Like most vintage watches, assume they are splash resistant and that’s all. Bottom line, I will not list anything I wouldn’t wear and trust myself.

As part of a 1940 Shell advertising campaign, the company wanted to prove that the motor oil could lubricate a fine watch. Shell commissioned Gerard-Perregaux to produce 30,000 see-through “skeletonized watches” that were sold that Shell stations for only $5. The two different Shell fobs were used during the advertising campaign. There were only offered with a 1940 full color magazine ad for the watch. Recently taken to the watch shop and is working perfectly.
