Digital display runs, but is somewhat faint if you aren’t looking at it from an angle. The hands move when you try to adjust the time, but they don’t run off of the battery. I brought it to a local jewelers store, and they said that most likely the mechanism needs to be lubricated since the watch sat for a considerable period of time.
